Are you interested in a career in health care?
This FREE class is for you!This Class has Finished. Congratualtions Students! Great Job!
What is it?
A 12-week class that will help you improve your reading and writing skills in English, AND learn about jobs in the health care industry.
There will be 2 teachers – Health Care and English as a Second Language.
This class will help you learn more about health care careers. You will have:
- visits from health-care professionals
- career counseling
- educational counseling from Austin Community College counselors
- financial aid information
- free college entrance testing (TCOM)
What will I receive?
If you complete all the requirements for the class, you will receive $150.00. If you enroll in an ACC career-track class, you will receive a $200 tuition credit.
Who can attend the class?
Adults who are High Intermediate to Advanced ESL and can communicate in English, but want to improve their reading and writing skills,
AND who are interested in a health-care career,
AND meet the requirements for the class.Where are the classes?
Decker Elementary School, 8500 Decker Lane
When are the classes?
Classes begin in September 2011 and end in December 2011. Classes will be Monday through Thursday evenings (4 evenings per week). Students must attend 75 percent of classes.
***Child care for ages 3-12 will be available when classes begin!***
